1 to 1 Therapy

Welcome Parents!

Concerned about your child’s well-being and want to help them reach their full potential?

As a dedicated parent and therapist, I provide one-to-one therapy sessions at my centre in Lifford-Strabane, conveniently located near Derry~Londonderry and Letterkenny. I also offer online sessions via Zoom, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all. My approach incorporates the power of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, aimed at equipping children and young people with essential life skills to overcome their challenges.

Every child’s journey is unique, so each therapy session is tailored to meet individual needs and goals. Whether dealing with depression, trauma, or anxiety, my method combines NLP principles with trust, compassion, and understanding to foster profound transformation and growth.

Typically, four to six therapy sessions with NLP4Kids are needed, which is fewer than with traditional play therapy. This efficiency is due to NLP4Kids being specifically designed to address the unique needs and developmental stages of children and teenagers. The targeted techniques and personalised approaches promote quicker progress and lasting positive changes.

What Age is NLP4Kids for?

NLP4Kids is well-suited for children aged 7 years and older, extending into the teenage years. The techniques used  are highly adaptable and can be tailored to meet the developmental needs and communication styles of children within this broad age range. These techniques take into account the cognitive and emotional growth that occurs from early childhood through adolescence.

For younger children, aged 7 to 10, I focus on using simple language, engaging activities, and visual aids to help them understand and apply the techniques. This age group often benefits from playful and interactive methods that make learning enjoyable and relatable.

For pre-teens and teenagers, the approach can be adjusted to include more advanced concepts and discussions, allowing them to explore their thoughts and feelings in greater depth. Techniques may involve more abstract thinking, goal setting, and problem-solving strategies that resonate with their evolving cognitive abilities.

With years of experience supporting children through ChildLine and as an NLP4Kids Practitioner, my true focus is helping young people with anxiety and depression. I work to shift their thoughts and emotions, reducing the urge to self-harm and fostering long-term emotional well-being.
